Water Quality Monitoring

EAST_2-2-15_2Ozarks Water Watch coordinates and supports volunteers who help us collect stream and lake water samples at various locations through our watershed.

If you’d like to consider helping to regularly (normally every other month) take water samples and assess water quality and stream/river health at your local stream, contact one of our coordinators. We help to coordinate training, supplies and will help guide you and your group along on this enjoyable and rewarding experience.

 Beaver Lake Volunteer Monitoring Program

The  data collected by these volunteer programs along with additional professionally obtained data from our agency partners is critical to providing information on the long-term health of the streams, rivers and lakes of the upper White River. We include a summary of the data results in our annual publication Status of the Watershed and 1,200 copies to area government, business and community partners.
